Travel Grants for Early Career Researchers in Overseas

MBSJ2023 will provide travel grants for early career researchers residing overseas.
Amount of Grants
For researchers who live in Asia: JPY100,000
For researchers who live in Europe, USA and Australia: JPY150,000
*Approximately 30 applicants will be selected through a screening process.
Qualifications for Applicants
- MBSJ membership is a must.
- Applicants must be under 40 years old and must have been living outside of Japan for at least two years as of November 27 (Mon), 2023.
- Those who received a travel grant of MBSJ2019 are ineligible.
(Those who received a travel grant before 2018 are permitted to apply.) - Appointed symposium speakers from abroad will receive other travel support, and cannot apply for this grant.
The registration fees of the applicants for this grant will be waived regardless of the result of grant selection. Please note that the withdrawal of abstracts will not be accepted after the deadline of abstract submission.
The grant is paid from the precious budget of MBSJ, so the awardees are expected to participate in the meeting most actively by questioning and having discussions with the other presenters of oral and poster sessions.
Please refer to the following instructions and make application during the period from July 3 (Mon) to 31(Mon).
An acceptance/rejection notice will be sent in early September.
