Detail

Recent years, next-generation sequencing technology has been aggressively improved to be applied with higher accuracy, higher throughput, and lower cost, which contributes to diverse research fields. Moreover, an increased number of interest-specific sequencing kits and bioinformatic tools accelerate applications of sequencing technology in not only academic research, but also disease diagnostics, personalized medicine, preventive medicine, environmental evaluation, agriculture purpose and so on. BGI Group has been employing sequencing technology to support researchers throughout the world for more than twenty years. Based on knowledge and knowhow generated from our R&D of basic biology, equipment, sequencing chemistry and bioinformatic method, we provide optimized sequencing solutions for customers’ distinct interests. In this presentation, we will update our new progress in WGS, RNA-seq solutions and highly visualized bioinformatics data-mining system Dr.Tom.

Potential of Spatial multi-omics analysis in transcriptome study
Ueno Tomoyuki (NanoString Technologies, Inc.)
Detail

Spatial multi-omics analysis is a powerful tool to visualize gene or protein expression within histopathological samples such as heterogeneous regions of tumors, the adjacent microenvironment and associated inflammatory/immune cells. In this presentation, we will focus on GeoMx® which enables whole transcriptome analysis of region of interest (ROI), and CosMx™ which will bring revolution to single-cell analysis. We will explain each technology and how to use them according to the resolution and the number of detection target plex.

Simplify your RNA-seq insights
Ryoko Shimada (QIAGEN K.K.)
Detail

Transcriptome analysis by NGS can analyze gene expression levels in a highly sensitive and comprehensive. However, there are some challenges such as the cost of analysis and the complexity of data analysis, as well as the handling of clinical samples with poor quality such as fragmented RNA. Here, we propose 3' transcriptome analysis that can handle fragmented RNA and Stranded RNA-seq that pursues cost performance and simplicity of the workflow. We will also introduce "RNA-seq Analysis Portal", an easy and free cloud-based analysis system. This analysis method takes the stress out of data analysis and fast-tracks your path to gene expression

(Center of Disease Biology and Integrative Medicine, the University of Tokyo)
Detail

Single cell sequencing is now a common method for scientists. Live-seq enables us to capture transcriptome of living cells (Chen, Nature, 2022 Aug), however, Live-seq could not reach subcellular components. Okada et al established intra-single cell sequencing (iSCseq) (Okada, bioRxiv 2022 Sep). iSCseq is a combinatorial method of subcellular sampling under comfocal microscopy and making cDNA library only with commercially available kit. iSCseq provides us another view of cell. will be the next core technology in cellular biology. I will share the novel technique iSCseq.

Automated Nucleic Acid Extraction and Purification System EZ2 Connect
Shugo Uehara (QIAGEN K.K.)
Detail

In recent years, there has been an increasing need in the rapidly developing field of liquid biopsy to extract nucleic acids from large-volume samples, and to minimize the manual labor required for FFPE samples in pathology and biobanks.
The EZ2 connect (24 samples) was created to meet these needs.
This benchtop nucleic acid purification system is based on the concept of eliminating tedious sample pretreatment and manual dispensing of reagents to the maximum extent possible.
All protocols are pre-installed, and the easy-to-use touch panel and pre-packed reagent cartridges simplify nucleic acid purification.

In this presentation, Kiagen's marketing staff will introduce what can be done now and what advantages can be gained by using this device.
