Abstract Submission

We invite submissions of papers for regular presentations. Please read through the submission guidelines below and proceed to the submission page.

1.Submission Period

Abstract submission is now closed. We thank all of you for submitting your work.

2.Criteria

1. Symposia and Regular presentations

The first and presenting author must be a qualified member of the Physiological Society of Japan (PSJ). If you are currently not a PSJ member and wish to present your paper as a first author at the meeting, please apply for PSJ membership.
However, speakers from overseas or Symposium speakers are not required to join PSJ.

The Society also offers “Temporary Membership”. Non-members can submit papers for regular presentations at meetings of the Society by becoming the temporary member during the valid period of this membership.

One person cannot submit multiple papers as a first author, including symposia.

Non-members can present at this session. Please select “High school / Undergraduate student session” for presentation format.

3.Presentation Format & Language

1) Presentation Format

A. Symposia

Basically, all symposium speakers are to deliver their presentations on the meeting site. However, we may hold the meeting in a hybrid format depending on the status of COVID-19.

B. Regular presentations (Poster)

All poster presentations are to be delivered on the meeting site.

C. High school / Undergraduate students Session

Presentation format is on-site poster presentation. Some presentations are delivered in oral presentation format. Young Scientist Awards will be given to those who made excellent presentations. Look forward to receiving submission form high school and undergraduate students.

5.Submission Procedure

Submission Procedure

1) You can submit your paper through the online submission system. Please click “Abstract Submission” button in the end of this page to start submission.

2) PSJ membership ID code is required.

3) PSJ membership ID code is the number found at the bottom right corner of the mailing label of the Journal of the Physiological Society of Japan.

*Please enter 999999, if your membership application is in process or you are going to join the membership.

*Otherwise, please enter 000000.

4) Length of an abstract

(1) Title: Within 200 characters

(2) Body:About 1,200 characters.

6.Conflict of Interest (COI) Disclosure

Follow the COI guidelines and disclose conflicts of interest.
The Physiological Society of Japan requires all presenters (including co-authors and non-members) to disclose financial relationships related to the presentations for the past 3 years calculated from the time of abstract submission.
Please add “COI:No” or “COI:Properly Declared” to the end of your abstract. Even if you have financial relationships related to your research, you don’t need to disclose it as long as it doesn’t fulfill any of COI criteria. In this case, please add “COI: NO” to the end of your abstract.

7.View / Modify Abstract

You can view or modify your abstract during the abstract submission period. Click “View / Modify / Delete Abstract” button at the bottom of this page, then log in with your abstract number and password.
Neither modifications nor additions can be made to your submitted abstract once the abstract submission period has been closed. Please ensure that your submission is accurate and that no authors, affiliations, or other information have been accidentally omitted, since your submission will be published as is.

8.Notification of Acceptance

Once the program is finalized, applicants will receive notifications of acceptance or non-acceptance at the end of December. The decision on abstract acceptance is entirely up to the Program Committee.
Please note that the abstracts of symposia speakers may also be checked by the Program Committee.
