FIMSA Travel Awards

The JSI will provide travel awards to young researchers who submit an abstract for Workshop from Asia-Oceania region outside of Japan to the 53rd Annual Scientific Meeting in Nagasaki (December 3-5, 2024). The application deadline is July 29, 2024.

Grant

Each awardee will receive 100,000 JPY for travel support, be free of registration and have an opportunity to give a presentation at the meeting.
We have decided to convene a hybrid meeting: a combination of in-person and virtual meetings (on-site and online). Although the symposiums are conducted both online and on-site, we are planning to hold workshops and poster sessions on-site only.
Please note that each awardee who will be able to visit Japan for their presentation can receive the travel support and certificate.

Eligibility

Young immunologists, such as graduate students and postdoctoral fellows from Asia-Oceania Region, are eligible to apply for travel awards to participate in this meeting.

Selection

The organizing committee of the meeting will select up to 20 awardees from abstracts submitted for the awards, and awardees will be notified by e-mail no later than September 10, 2024.

Documents required for application

Name, postal address, e-mail address and curriculum vitae of the applicant.
Copy of Notification for abstract submission via e-mail.
Up to five relevant publications by the applicant.
A recommendation letter from applicant's supervisor.
The set of the documents (pdf) should be sent by e-mail to the Secretariat (conf-jsi@meneki.or.jp) of the Japanese Society for Immunology no later than July 29, 2024.
