Information for Presenters & Chairs

Information for Chairs

Symposia, Workshops, etc. will be streamed live on Zoom, but there is nothing specific for chairs to prepare. Please proceed with the sessions as the past annual meetings held on-site.

1.Arrival

Please come to the staff desk at the right front of the room and let the staff know of your arrival no later than 15 minutes before the start time of the session.

2.Process and Timing

Chairs are expected to ensure that all presentations start and finish punctually as scheduled.

Information for Presenters of Symposia and Workshops

Symposia, Workshops, etc. will be streamed live on Zoom, but there is nothing specific for presenters to prepare. Please give a presentation as the past annual meetings held on-site.

1.Arrival

Please bring your laptop to the laptop connection desk at the left front of the room at least 20 minutes before your presentation and open your presentation file by yourself. Please pick up your laptop after your presentation ends.

2.Presentation method

All presentations are to be given using your own laptop. Please be sure to bring your own laptop.
(Please refer to “6. Technical requirements for your laptop”.)

3. Language

Please follow the language in the timetable

4.Presentation time

The 96th JSB secretariat will contact you by e-mail in early February.

5.Technical requirements for your laptop

Windows and Macintosh are both available.
A HDMI connector is necessary to connect your laptop to the projector. Some laptops may require an accessory connector. Please be sure to bring it as well.
  •  Please be sure to bring an AC adaptor for your computer.
  •  Please bring your backup data on a USB flash drive etc. in case of computer troubles.

Information for Poster Presenters

Poster sessions will be on-site only. (There will be no live streaming on Zoom.)

1. Excellent presentation award (Eligibility: Students or Those who earned their degrees within a year.)

Excellent presentation award will be given to the excellent presentations made by those who applied for this award at the time of abstract submission. Selection will be made on the day of presentation and awardees will receive a commemorative award. The award ceremony is scheduled to be held in the poster session venue on March 17(Fri) 19:20.

2. Venue

Exhibition Hall A, 1F, Arcrea HIMEJI

3. Presentation

Yellow ribbons for presenters and pushpins will be prepared at the poster panels. There will be no chair for poster sessions. Please give a presentation wearing a yellow ribbon on your chest and discuss with other participants freely in front of your poster.

4. Language

English is recommended.

5. Poster

  •  Poster panel size: 90cm wide x 210cm high
  •  Poster numbers will be attached to the panels by the secretariat. Please use pushpins prepared at the panels.
  •  Please attach the presentation title, affiliation(s), name of author(s) next to the poster number within the size of 65cm wide x 25cm high. Please put a circle to the name of presenter. The presentation title should be written at least 36 points so that it is clearly visible from at least 5 meters away. The contents should be written at least 18 points, large enough to be read from at least 3 meters away.
