JP EN Home Greetings from the President Information Program Registration /Abstract Submission Participation on the day About Conference Presentations ご協賛趣意書 Greetings from the President I am pleased to announce that I will organize the 8th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society for Genome Editing, which will be held at Tower Hall Funabori. This three-day event will be held from June 6 (Tuesday) to 8 (Thursday), 2023. Because of the COVID-19 outbreak, the conference was held online the past few years. This will be the first time in four years (since the 4th conference in 2019) that the conference will be held on-site. The year 2023 marks the 10th anniversary of the announcement of CRISPR-Cas9 genome editing. In the past decade, the creation of various model organisms has become easier and its use has been vastly explored. New technologies and industries have also emerged. We hope that the 8th Annual Meeting will provide a forum for active exchange of opinions on these topics. Thanks to the efforts of the organizing committee members, the conference will include educational events and special lectures on various topics like basic technology, applications of various organisms, and medical and industrial application. In addition, we plan to hold poster presentations of general abstracts, and award prizes to participants/students with the best presentations. In order to encourage the active participation of student members, we plan to waive the registration fee for students. Finally, we would like to thank the sponsors who have generously endorsed and supported the conference. We hope that you will cooperate in the further development of genome editing research in Japan. The venue, Tower Hall Funabori, is located in Funabori, Edogawa-ku, 30 minutes from Tokyo Station. It can be accessed via the JR Sobu Rapid Line and Toei Shinjuku Line. The Funabori Tower, located in the Tower Hall Funabori, offers a wonderful panoramic view of the Sky Tree, Tokyo Tower, Rainbow Bridge, and Disney Resort for free. We look forward to seeing you at the conference.
